Multis and Same Game Multi

Updated 28 September 2026

Why a standard Multi needs independent events, and how a Same Game Multi is priced.

Standard Multi

A Multi combines selections from different events into one bet. Every leg has to win. Because the events are independent, the total odds are the product of the individual prices: A$10 on 2.00 and 1.50 returns A$30.00.

Why the same event can’t go in a Multi

Two outcomes in the same match or race are connected — a team that wins by a lot is also likely to cover the handicap. Multiplying their prices would overstate the return, so the slip blocks a standard Multi when two selections share an event and explains why.

Same Game Multi

A Same Game Multi combines two or three outcomes from one match. Open the match, switch to Same Game Multi and tap the outcomes. Our pricing service quotes one price for the combination that accounts for the connection between them. That price is not the product of the single prices.

Combinations we can’t price

Some combinations depend on each other too directly — for example the winner and the handicap of the same team. Others are not offered. The builder says so clearly instead of showing a price.

Same Race Multi and Blended

On a race page, Same Race Multi lets you combine finishing positions of different runners, and Blended pays if any one of a group of runners wins. Both come with one price from the pricing service.
